Economic Impact

1672720992878.jpeg

Waste management can have far-reaching economic implications if we reclaim waste as secondary raw material. At ZERO WASTE LADAKH, we try to tap waste materials, realising their potential to bring monetary benefits to the local community.

We recover and reuse tailor waste by providing skill development training to local self-help groups in upcycling fabric waste and later engaging them in making upcycled products. Through the upcycling skill, self-help groups generate livelihood for themselves in a self-reliant and environmentally sustainable way. We also assist in promoting and marketing their upcycled products to enhance their earnings.
