Who We Are

Aparajita is a researcher, passionate about protecting nature. She holds a PhD in International Relations, specialised in peace and conflict studies. Her academic journey has been guided by her interest in identity conflicts and peacebuilding.  
 

Her work in the Himalayas involves studying environmental issues and developing solutions. At present, she focuses on implementing projects to address the waste crisis in the region of Ladakh. She believes in the importance of local communities, grassroots action and advocacy for protecting the environment.

She is also the Founder of GreenMandala Private Limited, an environmental and engineering solutions company. She is vegan and passionate about saving animals. 

Mipham is a hands-on person and a technical problem-solver. He holds a Bachelor’s in Aeronautical Engineering and a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

Originally aspiring to become a pilot, his academic journey took a turn during the pandemic when he became acutely aware of the waste crisis in his region. It motivated him to shift his focus toward environmental studies and get involved in on ground action.

His interests span a wide range of topics, some of which are waste management, air pollution, designing, repair and maintenance. His interest also extends to drone technology, and he is a DGCA-certified drone pilot.
