Livelihood Generation

Bags made from fabric waste at sale during an exhibition at Dilli Haat, New Delhi.

Livelihood generation is imperative for creating sustainability in waste management.

At ZERO WASTE LADAKH, we firmly believe that livelihood opportunities in waste management can draw and retain a workforce in this sector, leading to its long-term growth. Our endeavor in this direction is to provide skill development training to self-help groups in creating and marketing products made by upcycling fabric waste. The upcycling skill enables them to generate livelihood and become self-reliant as a self-help group. Not to mention, the mode of livelihood has a highly positive impact on the environment by reducing fabric waste.
